Hi!!!!
so this was my first long weekend in Cali. When i came here my uncle Leon came to get me from the airport. We went to his house in the south of Cali and rested for a little bit before going to the synagoge in Cali. Afterwards like every friday the kadosh family has a friday night dinner together. Once again i met all my uncles and cousins from Cali and got to catch up with them. The next day i woke up early in the morning to go see my uncle`s store called La Victoria in the center of Cali. My uncle Leon sent me out with a girl who works in his shop to go the see the center of Cali. Afterwards i went to see Enriques zipper factory. Enrique is Leon´s brother. In the zipper factory Enrique showed me the process of making the zipper. First we went to a building called tex fabrics where the fabric for the zippers is made. Next we went to EKA zipers, which stands for enrique kadosh associations to see how the zippers are made. I have to say, it is a very long process to make a zipper! In the evening I went with Leon and Ester for a very nice dinner at a Peruvian restruant. Lastly today i went to Club Shalom. This is the jewish club in Cali where all the members of the community go to play gulf, tennis, and to hand out by the pool. I accopanied Enrique on a tour of the club while he played gulf, then a sipped a soda by the pool. All in all a very relaxing day and visit. On Tuesday I go back to Manizales, then next thursday to Spain then France. In june i have a three week break, wherein i would like to go to Medellin, Cartagena, and maybe Baranquilla, and do some touring of Colombia. Well that´s it. I will try to update soon.
